A corporate platform for Starlight Production – a leader in the Ukrainian media market

Starlight Production is one of Ukraine’s most prominent production companies, creating content that everyone knows.The company encompasses four major divisions: Shows, Series and Films, Digital, and Commercials and Services. Its portfolio includes the country’s highest-rated projects, which you’re sure to recognise: “The Bachelor”, “MasterChef”, “Weighed and Happy”, “The Inspector”, “Exes”, “Super Mum” and others.

Brief

Previously, Starlight Production’s online presence was centred around the Starlight Media media group’s ecosystem. There was a simple landing page, whilst detailed information about the projects was spread across the TV channels’ pages.

However, the company faced new challenges:

• Building its own brand:strengthening its positioning as an independent creative and service unit.
• Expanding the client base:attracting external clients (commercial projects, services).
• Entering new markets:the need for a comprehensive portfolio that showcases the scale of the production company in one place.

Our agency was tasked with developing a corporate website from scratch that would bring together all areas of the company’s activities, showcase its potential, visually present key projects completed over the last seven years. It would also serve as a powerful tool for business development.

Development

The website was developed from scratch based on the company’s brand identity, the client’s requirements and references. The key design principle was to placevisual content at the centre of attention.

The client had a clear vision:

• minimalism without unnecessary animations or visual clutter
• maximum focus on videos and photos of completed projects
• high-quality images and videos.

Starlight Production prepared show reels specifically for the website and provided the best visual materials, whilst we, for our part, had to present them effectively.

We developed a bespoke design that addressed this challenge: a concise, uncluttered structure and a space where the company’s diverse activities and expertise are conveyed through the projects themselves.

Technical Challenge

Having numerous high-quality images and videos on a single website always poses a risk to loading speed. The client insisted on maintaining the quality of the content,so we:

• optimised media file processing to ensure a smooth user interface
• achieved high Core Web Vitals scores (all metrics at 90+), which is critical for user experience and SEO
• ensured a fast site response time, despite the large number of embedded videos.

Result

The client received a sleek, fast corporate website that matches the scale of the company. For Starlight Production, this is a digital platform where they can showcase everything: their areas of expertise, project portfolio and the standard of their work in the language the production company understands best – the language of visual content.
