A corporate car auction with great prospects
Let us tell you a little about our new project - a web auction for Winner Imports Ukraine, one of the largest car importers in Ukraine. The company imports Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, and Bentley cars.
In addition to taking care of its customers by providing them with new cars and excellent service in modern dealerships, the company always cares about its employees - a social package, training, interesting ambitious projects, and involvement in sports and social events. Winner, as a car company, has also been providing its employees with the opportunity to purchase cars of its own import brands at special prices for many years.
What was important in the project
For the administrator
- To design and provide a system of protection against rate manipulation
- Provide the ability to automatically unload cars from the database
- Track the auction from any device anywhere in the world
- Store all statistics for analysis.

For the user
- Since we targeted very different users both in terms of their social profile and digital skills, our task was to make it so universal and native that everything would be intuitive and fast at a glance
- At the same time, since this is a corporate resource, it was necessary to stay in the company's style.
- That is, to find a balance of innovation and simplicity of design, ease of navigation and usability.

Another important point is access to the system and user authorisation. However, we had to sweat it out!
The already complex functionality of the web auction is complemented by a complicated interaction with the client's internal system, implemented using authorisation through Windows Active Directory. The project can only work in close connection with the client's internal resources, which do not store any information on their side. The security and confidentiality of data is so great that even for temporary processing of requests on the site, unique data codes should be used, not the data itself.
For some time, we had to retrain as specialists in setting up Active Directory (Microsoft's directory service for Windows Server operating systems) to ‘make friends’ with Microsoft web technologies.
By logging in through AD, the user gets to the auction site while actually logged in to his internal system account and performs the necessary actions on the site, in accordance with his rights in the company.
The site database stores information on lots, bids, and interaction history. It does not store any information about users.
At the same time, the interaction with the internal accounting system is two-way - all information on user activity is returned to the user's profile within the Microsoft accounting system and stored internally, without requiring a connection to the site.
And with all this, everything should work quickly, carry out instant data exchange, and even allow you to manage all this from mobile devices.
But now, periodically coming with a routine check on our project, we observe no-nonsense battles for beautiful, bright and marketable cars. And in the depths of our souls we envy))) And what do we have? Websites each other at a special price to develop?
